I absolutely love plants and honestly can’t get enough of them. They’re living decor! There are a lot of options out there for hanging planters but I’m especially fond of the macrame style. They can blend in seamlessly with any type of decor and despite the look of them, are pretty easy to install.

While this 5-pack doesn’t come with the pots themselves, they do come with the hooks to hang them. They fit most small pots and can really liven up a space. At only $18.99, they can make a big difference in the flow of a room on the cheap.

This set is similar but it does come with pots and hooks. It has 4 plant hangers and 5 pots. It is $27.99.

4. Book Shelves

Books shelves do not have to only hold books but if you have a book collection like I do, you need more than 1 shelf to house them all. They are also great for holding board games, figurines, plants (of course), and just about anything else you need storage for, (or want to display). They make a great addition to any home office, living room, entryway or dining room.

If you favor an industrial look, (that can also blend with other aesthetics), this one is pretty great. It comes in Retro Gray or Rustic brown, has 5 shelves, and each tier can hold up to 70 lbs! It’s only $105 and really does give you a good bit of bang for your buck.

6. An Upgraded Computer Chair

I always recommend the chair above because it’s the one that I use and it’s super comfortable. It’s $179 but I have had mine for at least 2 years now with no complaints!
The next one gives off a bit more of a modern vibe without making you completely uncomfortable. Plus, it’s only $79 and looks pretty sleek if you ask me.

Lastly, if you want comfort and a great place to game, I’ve yet to find a chair that matches this one even when I’ve gone far over this one’s price point. It’s $109, comes with a removable head pillow and back pillow, and doesn’t make those long hours of gaming give you a stiff neck or back.

8. Some Colorful Wall Art

There are truly endless options available for colorful wall art and wall art of all kinds. The right art in the right spots can totally transform a dull space into a spectacular one.

Here are some of my favorite places to find wall art and customize my own:

  • Wayfair (Always check their daily sales for the best deals).
  • Mix Tiles (You can make your own pictures wall art that is super easy to hang – think of these as having “built-in command strips”.

These comforters are simply comfortable AF. With the right one, it can feel like you’re wrapped up in a cloud. Even though you are mostly going to see these in bright white, there are other options for those of us who do enjoy a pop of color.

The one above is tough to beat when it comes to comfort, in my opinion. It’s only $90 and beats most hotel comforters by a landslide.

10. Cozy Blankets

Who doesn’t love cozy blankets? They can serve a dual purpose of comfort and some style. Use blankets to add pops of color to your living areas.
These chunky knit blankets are fantastic! They’re super comfortable, a lot more durable than they appear and absolutely lovely! This one comes in a variety of colors, (although I am partial to this dusty yellow). The price of $79.99 may seem steep but the blanket is huge and looks great, (even after a lot of machine washes).

12. A Bar Cart

If you drink, a great way to store and perhaps even display your collection of wine and other spirits is a bar cart.

13. Colorful End Tables

Another great way to add some color into a room is end tables! You don’t have to settle for something bland when these colorful options exist:

14. Plants, Plants & More Plants

Okay, so obviously I really like plants. My plant collection has been continually growing for a couple of years and it still feels like there could be more, (in all my rooms).

More and more places are offering live plants that can be delivered right to your door. A great one is Bloomscape. Their website is super easy to navigate and can help even novices find the perfect plant with tons of pet-safe and low-maintenance options.

I use both my Google Home and Alexa a lot more than I thought I would. It’s great for answering questions quickly, playing your favorite music, and reminding you of important tasks & appointments. There are tons of other features too.

16. Try a Gallery Wall

You don’t have to be a decor expert to try your hand at a gallery wall. With the right picture frames, wall accents, and touches of your own, it can really be something. The first one I did was pretty lame but I’ve since gotten the hang of it. Basically, find things that look well together and organize them in a way that draws the eye.

Above is a set of 10 picture frames that come in 3 colors, (Rustic Brown – shown above, gray and walnut brown). If you’re looking to simply get started on a gallery wall, this set is a great way to start. The set of 10 is only $35.99!

This floor lamp gives an industrial vibe and generally just looks cool. It’s certainly a lot better than anything basic. And, it’s only $41.99!

These column lamps are great because they give you some extra shelving. This one is $45.99 and can literally fit in with any decor in any room!

18. A New Knife block

Before I really started noticing, (or caring), about the little details in my kitchen, I suppose I saw those details in others’ kitchens. I remember seeing a friend’s hand towels and thinking they were adorable. When I got home, I realized that mine kind of sucked. This prompted me into looking at more details – particularly my old, very lame knife. I’ve since updated and not only does it make slicing up veggies easier, it looks a hell of a lot better too.

When I first starting searching for a quality knife block, some of the price tags scared me. I’m talking $300-$400 which to me felt insane at the time. I found the one above and met in the middle and I couldn’t be happier. $75 may feel like a lot but you won’t have to go replacing your knife block 2x per year.

The one above is also pretty awesome and a unique way to save space! Also, it looks super modern and is only $43!

19. A Place For Fresh Fruit

Having a hanging fruit basket makes it feel like it’s the 90’s and I’m back at grandma’s house. But, it doesn’t have to look like it! A hanging fruit basket can save space and with this macrame one below, it looks pretty cool too.

And, it’s only $39!

20. Lights

I’ve always loved decorative lights and probably put them in more places than needed – but they add so much ambiance! There are lots of ideas of how to hang the lights I’m going to mention but go ahead and get creative!

These LED light strips are super fun and these ones can be controlled with Amazon Alexa or Google Home. Plus, you can control them directly from your smartphone. The possibilities with these are endless – the back of your TV, around the top of a room, underneath cabinets – you name! This set is only $25.99 and has 32 ft of totally customizable lights.

21. Add Some Fun Accents

When I say “accents”, I mean any decorative object that you enjoy. There are a lot of options out there so you can get as unique as you want. If you want some accents that are outside of the box, check out these ones below:

22. Welcome Mats

Welcome mats are a great way to spruce up your porch and there are lots of great options available, (even some pretty clever ones).

23. Soap Dispensers

You have probably seen those videos where people put anything that goes in a bottle into something more “aesthetically pleasing.” While that’s perfectly cool – more power to them, honestly – who has the time to transfer all that stuff? But, I’m all for it when it comes to soap dispensers!
The 2-pack above is only $14.

If you’re looking for something different, this automatic soap dispenser for $28 is pretty great. You can even control how much soap it dispenses, making it a cool addition to any bathroom.

24. Shoe Organization

If you’ve ever tripped over a misplaced shoe, you probably realized it was time to organize. Having all your shoes neatly stored will save space and minimize clutter.

The ones above are a great way to store your shoes and protect them from dust! This set of 12 stackable shoe storage boxes is only $34.99!
