Productivity is so important, but it can become really easy to play the procrastination game and get behind. Ah, Sunday, the sweet day of being lazy, (for the most part, at least). However, there are some tasks, (mostly smaller ones) that can be done on Sunday to help you maximize your productivity for the rest of the week. Set up your Sundays to make the week ahead flow a lot easier by getting some, (if you can’t do all), on Sundays:
Set up your meals for the week ahead. Some people really go all-out, even organizing their meals for each day in the fridge. But, even simply planning out what you’ll be eating each day will make the week go a lot smoother.
We’ve all had that back and forth dinner conversation, where no one can make a choice and time ends up getting wasted. Set up what you (and your family/members of your household) will be eating each day.

Fill in Your Planner
First off, review what’s already in your planner and then add every task you wish to accomplish that week. Have a solid to-do list for each day of the week and then a list of MAIN GOALS you want to accomplish throughout the week. I find it easier to break the larger tasks/goals into steps.
And, if you’re not the traditional planner type – check out Trello! It’s pretty awesome, and allows you to create multiple boards for tasks. It’s a great tool for blogging & everything in between 🙂
Get that Laundry Done
Laundry – the never ending story…
I find it best to get all the laundry done on Sundays. It will leave your space less cluttered & best of all, you won’t have to worry about it during the week.
Plan Out your Outfits for the Week
I like to line up my outfits in the front of my closet that I know I’ll be wearing during the week. It saves a lot of time in the morning!
Quick Organizing Session
Make sure everything is clean so you won’t wake up Monday morning stressed out and overwhelmed by clutter. Make sure that:
- Surfaces are clean
- Dishes are Done
- Everything is put in it’s proper place
- That your “getting ready space” is organized (sometimes, when I’m in a rush, my makeup & hair products become scattered about, making it take longer for me to get ready).
- Everything is ready for Monday 🙂
Getting things in order will make the rest of your week run much smoother.
Make Sure To Practice Self Care
One of the biggest things you should get done on Sunday is a solid self-care session. Take a Detox Bath, give yourself a facial, practice some Yoga – do something for YOU. Ensure that you’re relaxed and ready for the week ahead. Get to sleep at a good hour so you can wake up refreshed and ready to kick the week’s ass 🙂
Seize the Week Ahead!
Every week, (and every day), is a chance to set new goals, accomplish new goals and keep on improving your day-to-day life. Sunday is the best day to plan for the week ahead, ensuring that you’re organized, rested and ready to go!
