We all want to save money, right? Some of us don’t have the time or the patience for extreme couponing either. And, let’s be honest – that way of saving money is dwindling, as far as I can tell. But – there is an upside. There are stores – both physical and online that can help save you some major cash when it comes to certain purchases. Here are those stores:
ALDI
When it comes to saving on groceries, there is likely no better place to start than Aldis. When we do our weekly grocery haul (that we never fail to over-do), Aldi’s is always our first stop. They might not always have the same stuff and sometimes prices on certain items elsewhere may save you cents – it’s definitely an excellent place to save serious cash, while also buying organic.
Dollar Tree
EVERYTHING is literally just a dollar. Granted, there are lots of things you shouldn’t buy here, as the price suggests – because it’s cheap as hell. On the other hand, certain items like paper plates, plastic cutlery and a bunch of other miscellaneous items are best to buy here. I’ll do a more in depth article on things you will save money on if you purchase them here.
Ollie’s
I am unsure of all the areas these are located but their motto is “good stuff cheap” and it’s not a lie. I have stumbled across some HUGE deals at this store that is always filled with random home items, among TONS of other miscellaneous things. It’s a great place to shop to just see what you can find. I’ve been pleasantly surprised every time I’ve ever shopped there.
Five Below
The max price of everything at this store is just $5.00. I’m not saying you’re going to stumble on something possibly fantastic but I’ve made a lot of good purchases there. Sometimes, I even find that they have my favorite brand of Face Masks there for just $3 a piece. Again, this place has lots of random stuff but it’s a great place to find stocking stuffers around Christmas time or gift basket items.
Amazon
As a huge buyer of all things Amazon, it’s one of, (if not the absolute best) online store out there. You can literally find anything and it’s a hell of a lot cheaper than you would find it elsewhere. I would also recommend getting Amazon Prime, if you’re going to purchase a lot. I’ve found that we save a ton of money ordering lots from Amazon – especially bulk items. And, the biggest plus is – you can find ANYTHING.
Wayfair
If you’re in the market for furniture or anything for the home – Wayfair was incredible prices. They also have really unique decor items that are cheap and great quality. They also run a lot of sales throughout the year which is a great plus.
Target
Both physical and online Target stores always have amazing deals. As the saying goes – you can walk into Target without any list, it will tell you what you need. Seriously, their clearance is always amazing.
JcPenny
Their clothing sales are usually unbeatable – especially when it comes to quality. I would go there first over TJ Maxx any day. They almost always have sales or some sort of promotion going on.
eBay
I’m not a huge fan of eBay but I decided to mention it here because I know so many people who have found amazing deals on there. I did get a set of vintage x-men action figures super cheap but other than that, Amazon usually fills all my needs. But, if you’re in the market for something big and are okay with buying it used – eBay is a great place to start looking. 🙂
Let it Go
Yes, it’s an App & YES there are some excellent finds on it, depending on your area. I was able to snag a brand new bike for $90.00 because a woman simply didn’t want it anymore. If you don’t have the app – you should. Beware though, some people DO try to push junk on there.
When it comes to saving money, especially on big purchases, you should always shop around to find exactly what you want for the best price. Always be on the lookout for promotional codes when shopping online and, yes coupon when you can. We all like to see those extra 0’s in our bank accounts. 🙂
