Spring Date Ideas

Running out of date ideas? Tired of the simple dinner and a movie? With the arrival of spring, there are a lot of date ideas for you and your significant other that you may not have had in the winter months. Here are some great spring date ideas for you and your person:

Stargazing

Sounds cheesy, right? Okay…maybe a little. It is a great way to bond. Leave all electronics behind and spend time staring up at the stars together. On April 22 & the 23, you may even be able to catch a glimpse of the Lyrids Meteor shower. Go somewhere dark after midnight to view this beautiful occurrence. Either way, if you look long enough, (on any night), you’ll probably spot a shooting star. 🙂

Bonfire for 2

Me and my guy used to do this all the time when we lived in the country. Grab some hot dogs, buns, chairs and some cold beers. Sit by the fire and enjoy each other’s company.

Check out a Local Farmer’s Market

It’s not as boring as it sounds and you can get your hands on some really great produce, (for a low price). It’s fun to just be together and browse a farmer’s market. Not sure where one is close to you? Look it up. They are everywhere.

Go Hiking/Biking Together

There’s nothing better than being out in nature – especially together. Grab bikes or some hiking shoes and spend a day on a trail. It’s a great bonding date for couples – PLUS, you’re getting some exercise. It’s a win-win! 🙂

Go to a Greenhouse

Together, head over to a greenhouse and pick out flowers for your garden or patio. Everybody loves flowers. It’s actually a fun, and quick date. Bonus: plant the flowers together when you get home. 🙂

Horseback Riding

Who doesn’t love spending a day with animals? Find somewhere where the two of you can go horseback riding. It’s a great day date and an all-around good time.

A Fun Weekend Road Trip

Make a playlist, pick a random destination and hit the road. To make it even more fun and spontaneous, just have a general route and stop at any cool, or unique places/shops/attractions you see. Make it a weekend long date.

Drive-In Movie Night

Where me and my guy used to live, there was a pretty neat drive-in where they showed two movies back to back. Drive-in movies are fun and provide a more private setting for the two of you, while still being out and about. It’s a classic date, but a fun one.

Spring weather allows us to spend more time outside without the burden of heavy clothing. Get outside and enjoy spring – better yet, enjoy it together. Always make “date night” a priority in your relationship. 🙂

Does anyone else have any favorite spring date ideas? Let me know.
