I absolutely ADORE my Air Fryer. There are so many things you can make in it. Since it’s just the two of us, we often enjoy a small, whole chicken during the week. I used to take loads of time the night before preparing a brine for the chicken that it would soak in overnight. With the Air Fryer, there is no need to brine a chicken. This air fryer whole chicken recipe turns out fantastic every single time. It’s healthy, tastes great and is super easy to make. Here is the recipe:
Air Fryer Whole Chicken
A delicious, foolproof Air Fryer Whole Chicken recipe that is not only delicious - it's healthy!
- 1 Whole Chicken
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil extra virgin
- 3 tbsp Basil
- 4 tbsp Minced Garlic
- 3 tbsp Oregano
- 3 tbsp Parsley
- 1 tbsp Onion Powder
Remove chicken from package & remove giblets. Pat chicken dry with a paper towel.
Coat chicken with extra virgin olive oil and rub all spices over the chicken.
Put chicken - breast down into Air Fryer and cook for 30 minutes at 360 degrees.
Flip chicken over, breast side up, (careful not to burn yourself). Put chicken back into Air Fryer & cook at 360 degrees for an additional 30 minutes.
After this time, check that internal temperature of chicken is 165 degrees. Remove, let cool & enjoy.
I like to top it with minced garlic when I flip the chicken over in the Air Fryer also. This is one of my favorite Air Fryer Recipes so far and I hope you enjoy it. Also, don’t be afraid to experiment with spices that you personally enjoy. 🙂
